It is #WorldBookDay! USAID – US Agency for International Development, through the QITABI project, has been working over the past years to improve Arabic and official foreign language reading skills for primary school students across Lebanon. This has been achieved through teacher training on the methodology of teaching Arabic and official foreign languages and the development of content and educational resources. To date, nearly one million Arabic stories have been provided to primary public schools nationwide and 25 animated Arabic stories were made available online. This initiative helps students develop early-grade literacy skills, learn new words in Arabic, and enrich their imagination.
